SOCIAL INITIATIVES AND KIDS AREA COLLABORATORS
Making their FORWARDS debut, we have Campus Skateboarding in our Kids Area this year. With a team of dedicated instructors on hand, and safety and skateboarding equipment, it's the perfect chance for any kids who have been wanting to give it a shot, to try it out.
Founded in 2011, the non-profit organisation has utilised the positive energy and the influence of skateboarding to engage with children and young people.
The Eastside Community Trust and Felix Road Adventure Playground unleashed complete creativity recently, designing artworks to display at this year's festival - keep an eye out on site for the installations, designed by children themselves.
Access Creative College will be joining us again this year, hosting "Busker's Corner", where young ones can brush up on their musical skills and play with instruments, before taking to the stage with an open-mic performance on The Bandstand!
Sign up in advance here or on the day at the Access Creative College tent, located in the kids area. Please be sure to bring any backing music on a usb if required.
We understand that festivals can be busy and incredibly overwhelming at times for little ones. We have a Kids Chill Out Zone available in our Kids Area, which is a quiet sensory space for your child to relax and have a time out if things feel a little too much.
We also have children's hearing protection available to purchase from the Alpine Hearing Protection Stall, they stock a range of children's ear plugs and earmuffs that are suitable for ages 0-14 years.
If your child has any accessibility needs, please email firstname.lastname@example.org ahead of the festival, to make sure we can have correct provisions in place for them to have the most fun possible.
PARENTAL RE-ENTRY POLICY
We have an official parental re-entry policy in place. Someone who has a child will be allowed to leave the site to drop them off and come back without the child. The policy only extends to people who are leaving the site with a child and must still be cleared with security at the main gate. Re-entry will not be granted in any other circumstances. Please make sure that you (or whichever adult) is taking the children off site speaks to the team at the main gate BEFORE leaving as you MUST collect a pass out and be back on site by 8pm.
